Spraytec Analysis: Sprayed particle size measurement

466.00

This service consists of carrying out measurements of the particle size of sprays according to the ISO 13320-2020 standard as part of a regulatory assessment of the risk by inhalation of sprayed products. CERTAM uses a “Spraytec Malvern” particle size analyzer, fitted with a 300mm focal length lens. This means of measurement, based on the diffraction of light, offers the possibility of characterizing particle sizes between 0.1 μm and 900 μm (Dv50 = 0.5 – 600 μm), by exploiting an acquisition frequency of 5Hz to 2.5 kHz but up to 10 kHz for the analysis of phenomena of the order of a hundred
microseconds such as the study of atomization dynamics by spray or dispersion.
The deliverables for each bottle analyzed from a given reference are as follows: De Brouckere mean diameter (D [4] [3]), Sauter mean diameter (D [3] [2]), Dv10, Dv50, Dv90 percentiles ,% v of particles <5µm, <10µm, <50µm, Particle size distribution by volume, …
